Bridal designer Hayley Paige has acquired her namesake brand from multi-label wedding gown company JLM Couture following the latter’s Chapter 11 filing last year.
Paige has signed an agreement with JLM Couture for all of her intellectual property, including the right to use of her name and all of her prior bridal designs. She was also released from her non-compete agreement and became the sole owner of her social media accounts.
According to Reuters, Paige agreed to pay JLM $263,000 to settle the deal.
“This agreement allows me to return to the bridal design work I love once again under the name given to me by my parents,” Paige said in a statement.
“My social media accounts have been returned to my sole control and I have acquired sole ownership of my entire design catalogue, portfolio, and trademarks.”
Paige was the maker of ‘Hayley Paige’ wedding dresses until 2020. She signed on to design dresses for New York-based JLM in 2011.
